He is, simply put, perfect. My husband and I lost a baby a couple of years ago at 15 weeks gestation and were devastated. I made the regretable mistake of leaving him at the hospital to be cremated in the incinerary. They carried his tiny body away in a plastic denture cup that had a screw-on lid. I had held him and said goodbye, but never got the closure I needed from a funeral or even wrapping him in a blanket. When I saw this doll online, all of those feelings of longing came rushing back and I simply had to have him. He looks like our lost child to the last detail (except the doll has more hair). It sounds morbid and sappy, I know, but I feel better simply holding the beautiful doll...more at peace. He doesn't look like he's been through an assembly line, but created with time and love, just like our lost child.

I received Beloved as a gift. I like to think it's a girl, she is SO precious. The packaging and presentation were absolutely wonderful!
